SLUMDOG........A REAL MILLIONAIRE

After hearing so much about this film from the tv channels and the news papers today took some time to watch the movie and i must admit its really worth watching the movie. Mind you this is no masterpiece which would totally engulf you and take you to its mood,but is a commendable effort on showing the real facets of life ...........which with GODS grace many of us would even think off.
The movie starts off with the lead actor being interviewed............dont think its for a job but in a police station and the crime he committed ??????
Guess ...........winning 1 crore rupees in the game show kaun banega karodpati?
wait on ,this is no sin?? but yeh INDIA hai bhai INDIA,yahaan jiske paas paisa hotaa hai aur power hotaa hai POLICE bhee usi ki suntee hai.
THE main lead now has this difficult task on his hand to give a justification to each and every answer that he has given on the show...........!!Its entertaining in the way they have taken the story and one thing i liked very much about the movie is the screenplay. The way they have interwined the questions asked on a game show to the life of a boy born and brought up in a slum area in mumbai is really applaudable.
Acting wise...........the child artists who acted in the movie were simply awesome in their roles . ANIL KAPOOR was good and IRFAN KHAN was adequate. On the whole a movie to watch out.

MOVIE RATING : 8/10.
MUSIC BY REHMAN: BACKGROUND SCORE IS SUPERB and the english version had the songs in the background only so couldnt figure out much about them but the music was good as usual from rehman.

Guess this will be the OSCAR win INDIA has been waiting for the past few years,so lets keep our fingers crossed and wish all the best to SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE and its team.

A lie will be caught sooner or later.....!!

I woke up today morning and got a mail from my dearest buddy satya,was checking it and then somehow dumped into his orkut profile where i caught up with a profile of one of his friends which had this story............this is a very simple story and i like it,so thought of sharing it in my blog as i also feel a lie wil be caught sooner or later........so folks whoever you are,never take the help of a lie....be brave ,be honest,be true and you will get everything in life.

Here goes the story :

NEVER LIE you will be caught

A Mom comes to visit her son Kumar for dinner...... who lives with a girl roommate Sunita. During the course of the meal, his mother couldn't help but notice how pretty Kumar's roommate was. She had long been suspicious of a relationship between the two, and this had only made her more curious.

Over the course of the evening, while watching the two interact, she started to wonder if there was more between Kumar and his roommate than met the eye.


Reading his mom's thoughts, Kumar volunteered, "I know what you must be thinking, but I assure you, Sunita and I are just roommates." About a week later, Sunita came! To Kumar saying, "Ever since your mother came to dinner, I've been unable to find the silver plate. You don't suppose she took it, do you?" Kumar said ,"Well, I doubt it, but I'll email her, jjust to be sure."

So he sat down and wrote :


Dear Mother:


I'm not saying that you 'did' take the silver plate from my house, I'm not saying that you 'did not' take the silver plate .. But the fact remains that it has been missing ever since you were here for dinner.


Love, Kumar



Several days later, Kumar received an email from his Mother which read



Dear Son:


I'm not saying that you 'do' sleep with Sunita, and I'm not saying that you 'do not' sleep with Sunita. But the fact remains that if she was sleeping in her OWN bed, she would have found the silver plate by now under the pillow...

Mom.



Lesson of the day:



Don't Lie you will be caught sooner or later...........

Come what may the situation,there are some instances when its better to tell the truth then to hide it.......a lie can break relationships,a lie can shatter the faith on a person...........so folks please refrain from this three letter word .

A VARIETY NEW YEAR

Hello all,
First of all wishing you all a very very happy and a prosperous new year,hope all of you have a great time and success in each and every aspect of life this year. coming to the blog topic,every new year of mine till now was the same routine,going out with friends,or sitting with friends when they booze ( as i am a tea-tottler) or else just simply watching tv..........it was almost the routine every year,this year it was a bit different.

I met a person this year who told me a all new way of celebrating the new year........so i planned to implement it this year for a change and it was like this.............everyone were waiting for the new year partying or having fun ....but i was waiting it to hit 12 ...........the first thing i used to do whenever it used to hit 12 all these years was to pick up my phone to call my near and dear ones to wish them a new year ,but for a change i was doing puja at the stroke of 12.......puja to GOD for making me survive the whole year that has passed by, puja to GOD for giving me a lot many things the previous year and a lot of oppurtunities to look forward the coming year,Puja to GOD for not only making me happy but also all my close friends ,my family members,my relatives the past year and along with all this a prayer to make the best things that happened in my last year to be the worst things the coming year.

The puja lasted for 30 mins with vishnu sahasranam and then by 12:30 i was back to the normal way with attending calls and wishing friends ,it all lasted till 4 in the morning .....!!

This is a new sort of experience to me as it made me realise the importance of a prayer and the faith in GOD as it gave me a lot of satisfaction and peace to mind.
Thanx a lot for reading this blog of mine and wishing you a very happy and prosperous new year 2009 once agian
