HAPPY DAYS--TELUGU MOVIE REVIEW

Movie Name : HAPPY DAYS
Cast: Sandesh, Nikhil, Vamsi Krishna, Raahul, Tamanna, Gayatri Rao, Sonia, Monali Chowdary and Kamalinee Mukherjee
Director :Sekhar Kammula
Music:Mickey.j.mayor

How close the movie is to being perfect : 7/10.

This is my first movie review in this blog and i dont wanna go the normal way of explaining the characters and story as many other reviews do,i feel it takes away the impact from a person who watches the movie after reading a review.
Happy days is a typical sekhar kammula film---------yes thats right with only 2 films old before Happy days (in the main stream atleast) sekhar kammula has managed to hit a chord with the emotions of the telugu film audience in such a way that this film can be characterized as a typical sekhar kammula film. The film has a very thin story line as his previous two other films and runs basically on the grip that he has on screenplay and mind you sekhar is a master at this and he has once again come out victorious.
The movie is very heart touching as it deals with some happydays in almost every persons life which will definetely be his or her college days. The days that never come back, the days that give you a nostalogic feeling when you sit idle, the days which bring memories to be cherished. The story starts with the first day college for the main leads and ends with their last day in college the farewell day.It has got all the human emotions that a teenager entering a college goes through and how he matures into a capable person ready to face the challanges of the world outside.
The movie strikes a chord especially with the youth as they can identify themselves in the characters portrayed in the film and also to some people who finsihed their college lifes and are into more purposeful days of their life.It brings us all those good olden days that have gone by and i can assure you that it succeeds in letting us enjoy the beauty of college life once again.
Coming into some technicalities.............the cast chosen for the movie are absolutely pictureperfect and you actually tend to see the character itself but not the actor who has portrayed it.Music by Micky.j.Mayor is almost perfect, full credits to him for giving such soothening music,Arey re Arey re song stads out and also Padam etu......!! Canera work by vijay kumar is commendable.Coming to the artists performances two people stand out raahul who played tyson and Nikhil who played rajesh. Nikhil has impressed with his expressions and his telangaana dialect whereas the character and characterization of tyson are so lovable that we tend to fall in love with the character and i feel raahul has done a great job.The main female lead of the movie is Tamanna and she looks very gorgeous in Langa-Voni and is very pretty and also good with her expressions throughout the movie.Kamalini Mukherjee the lucky charm for sekhar is seen in a guest role in this movie as a glamarous lecrturer and she does a good job with her own dubbing.
Coming to some negative points in this film which prevented it being from a concept perfect:
1)The very weak story line and some scenes are dragged and a bit slow making you get bored .
2)The cricket match between the seniors and juniors defies all logic.
3)The tricks theat tyson does are a bit over dose and hard to digest as they come in a movie from a more realistic director sekhar.
On the whole the movie is a must watch and is pretty much close to being concept perfect.
